Maguire: Fernandes' Red Card Led to Our Defeat

Manchester United's defender Harry Maguire has attributed their 2-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers to the dismissal of captain Bruno Fernandes. Fernandes received a second yellow card early in the second half for a late challenge, reducing United to ten men.

Maguire commented, 'I felt we controlled the game in the first half without creating significant chances, which was a mistake. In the second half, we needed to improve, but the red card changed the game. Playing with ten men in the Premier League is challenging, and it made things much more difficult for us.'

Regarding Fernandes' reaction, Maguire added, 'I haven't spoken to Bruno yet. He's disa crucial lyer for us. He feels like he's let the lads down, but we're all in this together.'

Maguire also addressed United's recent struggles with defending set-pieces, stating, 'Wehe mirror and do better. Set-pieces are a vital part of modern football.'
