Michael Olise, the 23-year-old Bayern Munich star, opened up about his summer transfer from Crystal Palace to the German giants. In an interview with the club's magazine '51', Olise recalled the moment he learned about Bayern's interest. "When I heard Bayern was seriously interested in me, it was an extraordinary moment. At first, I couldn’t believe it," he said.
Since joining, Olise has been impressed by Bayern's culture of winning. "The mindset here is incredible. The expectation to win every game sets Bayern apart from Crystal Palace. I feel a great responsibility," he added.
At Crystal Palace, Olise had a lower media profile, but things changed after his move. "The pressure here is immense because we must win every game. I enjoy it, as it drives me to become a better player," he explained.
Olise also spoke about his admiration for Bayern legends Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, stating, "They were incredible players. As a child, I loved watching them. I’ve learned from their games, but I don’t like comparisons. I’m not Arjen or Franck; I’m Michael."
Wearing Bayern's iconic jersey fills him with pride. "Every time I see the Bayern logo on my shirt, I feel proud to be part of such a historic club," he concluded.
