Frankfurt Denies Manchester City Talks Over Omar Marmoush

Eintracht Frankfurt has denied ongoing rumors linking their Egyptian forward, Omar Marmoush, with a January transfer to Manchester City. The club’s sporting director, Markus Krösche, clarified the situation in an interview with the German outlet Kicker, stating that no official contact or offers have been received from the English club.

Krösche’s Statement

"We have not received any communication from Manchester City regarding Marmoush," Krösche explained. "Our focus is on maintaining the team’s current roster as we aim to achieve our ambitious goals this season."

Team Goals Take Priority

Frankfurt’s management emphasized that retaining their squad is crucial for their domestic and European campaigns. "We have made it clear that our priority is to keep the team intact until the end of the season," Krösche added, dispelling speculation surrounding Marmoush’s future.

Marmoush’s Stellar Form

Omar Marmoush has been a standout performer for Frankfurt this season, recording 13 goals and 7 assists in the Bundesliga and adding 4 goals and 2 assists in the Europa League. His impressive form has reportedly attracted interest from multiple clubs, including Manchester City. However, Marmoush remains committed to Frankfurt and continues to participate fully in team training sessions.

Manchester City’s Position

Manchester City, meanwhile, has not publicly commented on the speculation. Frankfurt board member Timo Hardung humorously remarked, "I’m not sure which club City thinks they’ve reached an agreement with, but Marmoush is here with us and staying focused on his responsibilities."

Looking Ahead

As Frankfurt prepares for the second half of the Bundesliga season and the Europa League knockout rounds, Marmoush’s contributions will remain pivotal. For now, both the player and club appear determined to quash any distractions and focus on achieving their objectives.
