Mbappé Breaks Silence: 'It's Time to Speak'

In a candid interview with Canal Plus France's 'Clique' program, Kylian Mbappé discussed his transition to Real Madrid and the hurdles he's faced since joining the club in June. Despite high expectations, Mbappé acknowledged that he hasn't yet replicated the stellar performances he delivered at Paris Saint-Germain and with the French national team, leading to widespread criticism.

Mbappé emphasized the importance of expressing his feelings amid ongoing speculation: "Every day, things are said while I haven't spoken to anyone. At some point, you have to speak up to make people understand you."

Reflecting on his new chapter in Spain, he expressed contentment: "I'm very happy. A new stage in my life is beginning. It's my first experience abroad. I'm discovering a wonderful country with welcoming people. It's a great country."

Addressing recent criticisms, Mbappé noted: "People see us as robots, but in reality, we are human like everyone else. People criticize and praise us; it's normal." He added that he remains detached from French media, focusing instead on adapting to Spanish culture and language.

Regarding his trip to Stockholm during a national team break, which sparked unfounded allegations, Mbappé clarified: "I was surprised. These are things that happen unexpectedly. I received no charges, no summons. I read the same as everyone else. The Swedish government hasn't said anything. I'm not involved in anything. It's just a misunderstanding." He assured that he would cooperate fully if summoned by authorities.

On a personal note, when asked about love, Mbappé shared: "I've been in love before and hope to be in love again."

He also touched on societal expectations: "Since I was 14, everyone told me I was going to be big. But when you're big, sometimes you feel small. Football fans are very fickle."

Mbappé concluded by reaffirming his commitment to social issues, highlighting the diversity of France and the importance of not imposing beliefs on others.
