Portuguese winger Nani has announced his retirement from professional football at 38. He began his career at Sporting CP in 2005 before transferring to Manchester United in 2007. During his eight-year tenure with the Red Devils, Nani made 146 appearances and scored 26 goals, contributing to multiple Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League victory.

After his stint in England, Nani returned to Sporting CP on loan, followed by engagements with clubs including Fenerbahçe, Valencia, Lazio, Orlando City, Venezia, Melbourne Victory, Adana Demirspor, and most recently, Estrela Amadora in Portugal's top flight.

Internationally, Nani earned 112 caps for the Portugal national team, scoring 24 goals. He was instrumental in Portugal's triumph at the UEFA Euro 2016, securing the nation's first major international trophy.

In his retirement announcement on social media, Nani expressed gratitude to all who supported him throughout his career and looks forward to new endeavors beyond the football field.
