During that match, Barcelona took an early lead with a goal from Fermin Lopez in the 18th minute. Despite dominating the first half, the score remained 1-0 at halftime. Raphinha extended the lead in the 51st minute, but Barbastro responded in the 60th minute, narrowing the gap to 2-1. Manager Xavi Hernandez made strategic substitutions to regain control. Lewandowski converted a penalty in the 88th minute, making it 3-1, yet Barbastro scored another penalty in stoppage time, concluding the match at 3-2.

Reflecting on the previous encounter, a Barbastro player noted, "Last year, we gave Barcelona a scare." The upcoming match will take place in Huesca, approximately a two-hour bus journey from Barcelona, offering logistical convenience for the team.
