Edmond Tapsoba Warns Inter Milan: 'We're Not the 2020 Team Anymore'

As Bayer Leverkusen prepares to face Inter Milan in the Champions League, defender Edmond Tapsoba has issued a confident message, highlighting the team's evolution since their 2020 Europa League quarter-final meeting, which resulted in a 2-1 defeat for Leverkusen. Tapsoba remarked, "We were a very young team back then. Since that time, we've made significant progress and added new players. Back then, our coach wasn't Xabi [Alonso], and now we have a great coach. So, rest assured, tomorrow will be a different game."
Reflecting on the team's development, Tapsoba noted, "We've rediscovered our footballing identity. The team has started, and soon we'll return to the same level as last season."
