Carlo Ancelotti Addresses Real Madrid's Challenges Ahead of Atalanta Clash

As Real Madrid prepares to face Atalanta in a crucial Champions League group stage match, manager Carlo Ancelotti has addressed various topics concerning the team's performance and strategy.

Regarding the challenge posed by Atalanta, Ancelotti acknowledged, "This game is very tough. We played against Atalanta in the Super Cup, but they have improved a lot since then. Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has done an exceptional job, and his team plays with great dynamism and enthusiasm."

On the fitness of key players, Ancelotti provided updates: "Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo are still uncertain for the match. Their participation depends on today's training session. Apart from these two, all other players are available."

Discussing the impact of Jude Bellingham, Ancelotti remarked, "Jude has added dynamism to the team, but the players' winning mentality has been present from start to finish."

Addressing the deployment of Federico Valverde as a winger, Ancelotti defended his tactical choice: "We won the Champions League twice with Valverde playing as a winger. It doesn't matter to me if someone doesn't like him in that position."

When asked about Kylian Mbappé's recent form, Ancelotti humorously noted, "I was hoping this would be the first press conference without a question about Mbappé, but you asked anyway." He then added, "Mbappé is fine."

Looking ahead, Ancelotti emphasized the significance of the Atalanta match: "This is our toughest game remaining this year. We aim to finish the year on a high note, and I have complete confidence in my team."
