Barcelona Star Discards Lost Tooth During Match
During Barcelona's recent match against Real Betis, Dani Olmo lost a tooth following an accidental collision with Marc Bartra. In a moment of frustration, Olmo threw the dislodged tooth onto the pitch, leading to a lighthearted exchange with teammate Lamine Yamal.
In Saturday's match between Barcelona and Real Betis at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, midfielder Dani Olmo experienced an unusual incident. Following an accidental collision with defender Marc Bartra, Olmo lost one of his upper teeth.
The incident occurred around the 30-minute mark when Bartra's heel inadvertently struck Olmo's mouth during a challenge for the ball. Realizing his tooth was missing, Olmo searched the pitch, found the tooth, and, in a moment of frustration, threw it back onto the grass before voicing his concerns to the referee.
At halftime, teammate Lamine Yamal humorously questioned Olmo's actions, asking, "Why did you throw it?" and jesting, "There was no blood, and he threw his tooth!" Yamal continued to tease, inquiring if it was a crown and speculating that Olmo's agitation led to the impulsive act.
In the second half, Olmo and his Barcelona teammates attempted to locate the missing tooth on the pitch but were unsuccessful.
