Courtois Confirms Mbappe's Absence for Upcoming Match
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has confirmed that Kylian Mbappé will miss the next match against Rayo Vallecano due to a muscle strain sustained during the recent game against Atalanta.
In Real Madrid's recent 3-2 victory over Atalanta, forward Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring with a precise shot in the early minutes. However, he was substituted before halftime after experiencing muscle discomfort. Post-match, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois addressed Mbappé's condition, stating, "Kylian felt muscle tightness. I don't think it's serious, but he left the field in time. It doesn't seem to be a severe pain, but his muscle wasn't in ideal condition. I think we'll lose him for the game against Rayo Vallecano, but we'll see about the following matches."
Courtois also reflected on the team's performance: "We knew this was a difficult ground to win on. They're leading Serie A and have performed well in the Champions League, which speaks to the game's difficulty. We started well with Kylian's goal and created many chances, but they increased the pressure and eventually equalized. In the second half, we made some changes and improved. Although we conceded a second goal, we withstood their attacks and earned our reward with the victory."
