After Paris Saint-Germain's commanding 3-0 win against Salzburg in the UEFA Champions League, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reaffirmed his unwavering support for head coach Luis Enrique. Al-Khelaifi emphasized the club's commitment to a long-term project with Enrique at the helm, stating, "Luis Enrique will stay with us. We are building a long-term project with him, and he knows it. Luis is a very good coach. We have the best coach in the world."
Enrique, who has a contract with PSG until 2027, has faced criticism following recent performances. However, the resounding victory over Salzburg, secured by goals from Gonçalo Ramos, Nuno Mendes, and Desire Doue, has bolstered confidence in his leadership.
Al-Khelaifi also highlighted the significance of the Champions League triumph, noting, "This game was very important and decisive. Winning was vital to continue in the Champions League. We played well, scored goals, and this will give us a lot of confidence for the future. This game gives hope to everyone. In football, if you don't score, it becomes difficult. But I always had confidence in the team."
