Deco Assures Dani Olmo's Registration for La Liga's Second Half
Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, has confirmed that the club is diligently working to ensure Dani Olmo's registration for the second half of the La Liga season, despite existing financial constraints.
Deco, the sporting director of FC Barcelona, has addressed concerns regarding the registration of midfielder Dani Olmo for the second half of the La Liga season. In a recent interview, Deco affirmed, "We are working on it," indicating the club's commitment to resolving the issue.
Olmo, who joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window, was initially registered using the salary space freed by Andreas Christensen's injury. This provisional registration is set to expire on December 31, necessitating a permanent solution to ensure his eligibility for the remainder of the season.
Barcelona's financial constraints have complicated the registration process. Potential solutions include offloading players in the upcoming transfer window or securing additional revenue streams to comply with La Liga’s salary cap regulations. Despite these challenges, Deco expressed confidence in resolving the matter promptly.
When asked about potential signings in the January transfer window, Deco stated, "At the moment, we are not discussing this." He also reiterated support for head coach Hansi Flick, emphasizing the importance of continuity and hard work despite recent setbacks.
