Swedish Prosecutor Closes Investigation into Kylian Mbappe Allegations

Swedish prosecutors have terminated the investigation into alleged sexual misconduct involving Kylian Mbappe, citing a lack of sufficient evidence. The Real Madrid forward was accused following an incident in Stockholm in October, but the case has now been closed.

Prosecutor Marina Chirakova stated, "My assessment is that the evidence is not sufficient to proceed, and the investigation is therefore closed." She also noted that Mbappe had not been formally notified of any suspicion of a crime.

Mbappe, who was in Stockholm between October 9 and 11, had consistently denied the allegations, labeling them as "fake news". He emphasized his focus on his professional commitments and expressed confidence in his innocence.

The closure of this case allows Mbappe to concentrate fully on his responsibilities with Real Madrid and the French national team, as he continues to be a pivotal figure in both squads.
