Rasmus Højlund: Opponents Were Exhausted by My Movements

In Manchester United's recent 2-1 triumph over Viktoria Plzeň, forward Rasmus Højlund played a pivotal role by scoring both goals, overturning a 1-0 deficit. Reflecting on his performance, Højlund emphasized the effectiveness of his relentless off-the-ball movements in tiring out the opposition's defense.

Højlund stated, 'My playing style involves making continuous runs into channels to exhaust the defenders. I believe today I succeeded in wearing them down.'

The Danish striker's first goal came from capitalizing on a deflected shot by Amad Diallo, while the second was the result of a quick-thinking short free-kick from Bruno Fernandes. Højlund noted, 'I've observed Bruno making similar passes to Anthony Martial before. I was alert enough to receive the ball, maneuver past the defense, and finish.'

Since joining Manchester United, Højlund has been instrumental in their attacking play, contributing significantly in recent matches, including goals against Nottingham Forest and Bodo/Glimt.
