Bayern Munich's €20,000 Fine Upheld After Appeal Rejected
Bayern Munich's appeal against a €20,000 fine for a two-minute delay in entering the pitch against VfL Bochum has been denied, confirming the penalty imposed by the German Football Association.
During the eighth week of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich faced VfL Bochum and secured a victory. However, the team incurred a €20,000 fine due to a two-minute delay in taking the field, attributed to extended equipment checks. The German Football Association (DFB) imposed the fine, citing the importance of adhering to match schedules.
Bayern Munich's management contested the decision, seeking a reversal. Despite their efforts, the appeal was rejected, and the club is now obligated to promptly pay the €20,000 fine.
Currently, under the leadership of manager Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich leads the Bundesliga with 33 points from 13 matches. The team aims to extend their lead over Eintracht Frankfurt in the upcoming fourteenth-week fixture against Mainz.
