AS Roma Seeks New Head Coach: Allegri, Ancelotti, and Montella in Consideration
AS Roma is actively searching for a new head coach for the upcoming season, focusing on prominent figures such as Massimiliano Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, and Vincenzo Montella.
AS Roma is in pursuit of a new head coach for the forthcoming season, with attention directed towards three distinguished candidates: Massimiliano Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, and Vincenzo Montella.
Interim coach Claudio Ranieri confirmed during a press conference following the Roma-Braga match that the club is actively evaluating options: "We are examining this matter, have addressed it, and are seeking a suitable coach." Ranieri will serve as head coach until the season's end, after which he will transition into a technical director role.
While Ranieri refrained from discussing specific names, it's understood that Massimiliano Allegri remains a perennial candidate, though no formal contact has been made. The club aims to swiftly initiate a new project following the collapse of a three-year plan previously orchestrated by Daniele De Rossi.
Surprisingly, Carlo Ancelotti has emerged as a potential candidate. The European champion may conclude his second tenure with Real Madrid at the season's end. Ancelotti, alongside Allegri and Montella, is under consideration by Roma for the next season.
Sporting director Florent Ghisolfi stated, "We are working with Mr. Ranieri and the club owner on two fronts: strengthening the team during the January transfer window and selecting a new head coach."
