Simeone: 'I Have Become Repetitive and Boring'
Diego Simeone, Atlético Madrid's head coach, acknowledges his consistent 'game-by-game' approach, emphasizing its importance in the team's recent successes.
Following Atlético Madrid's 1-0 victory over Getafe, marking their 11th consecutive win, head coach Diego Simeone expressed satisfaction with his team's performance. He particularly praised substitutes Nahuel Molina and Alexander Sorloth, whose collaboration led to the match's only goal.
When questioned about his unwavering 'game-by-game' philosophy, Simeone remarked, 'I am repetitive and boring; I will not change. Until the day I leave, the team's plan will be to take it one game at a time. If we deviate from this approach, there will be no light.'
Simeone also highlighted the significance of maintaining humility and continuous improvement as the team prepares for their upcoming match against Barcelona. He stated, 'We must work with humility, try to keep improving, rest, and then face Barcelona.'
Reflecting on the team's transformation from the previous season, Simeone noted, 'Last year, we couldn't achieve what we were aiming for, and today, fortunately, the results are showing.'
