Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) returned to winning ways in Ligue 1 after a 20-day hiatus, securing a 3-1 victory over Olympique Lyonnais at the Parc des Princes.
The match began with an aggressive approach from PSG, and they quickly took the lead in the 8th minute. Ousmane Dembélé found the net following a brilliant setup by Warren Zaïre-Emery.
Just six minutes later, PSG doubled their advantage. A foul inside the box led to a penalty, which Vitinha calmly converted, sending the Lyon goalkeeper the wrong way.
Despite PSG's dominance, Lyon managed to pull one back before halftime. In the 40th minute, Georges Mikautadze scored with a delicate chip over the goalkeeper, making the score 2-1.
The second half saw a drop in tempo, with PSG controlling possession and Lyon struggling to create significant opportunities. In the 88th minute, PSG sealed the victory with a swift counter-attack. Gonçalo Ramos, who had recently come off the bench, tapped in a rebound after Bradley Barcola's initial shot was parried by the Lyon goalkeeper.
This win brings PSG's point tally to 37, maintaining their position at the top of the Ligue 1 standings. Lyon, meanwhile, suffered their fourth defeat of the season, dropping to fifth place.
