From Bad to Worse: Hopes in United's Saviour Were Misplaced

Alan Shearer, the former English football star, has sharply criticized Sir Jim Ratcliffe's performance at Manchester United. Fans had hoped that Ratcliffe's involvement as a long-time supporter would significantly improve the club's fortunes, but this expectation appears to have been misplaced.

The Red Devils have failed to deliver satisfactory performances in the new Premier League season. With Rúben Amorim now appointed as the new head coach, efforts are underway to steer the team out of crisis.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Shearer commented: "Chaos is the most accurate term to describe United's current state. It seemed that everyone hoped Ratcliffe's presence would transform their situation from bad to good, but that hasn't happened at all.

Since his arrival, whether it's increasing ticket prices, signing a new contract with Erik ten Hag, allocating millions of pounds for various player acquisitions, then dismissing him and paying compensation to the Dutch coach, things haven't gone well.

The dismissal of Dan Ashworth has also made matters much more difficult, as they paid him compensation after waiting several months for his arrival, only to decide to fire him afterward. It seems United's situation has escalated from bad to a state of crisis."
