Official: Mbappé Included in Real Madrid's Intercontinental Cup Final Squad

Kylian Mbappé has been included in Real Madrid's squad for the Intercontinental Cup final against Pachuca. Despite concerns about his fitness following a foot injury sustained in last week's Champions League defeat to Liverpool, Mbappé is expected to be available for the match on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old forward missed Real Madrid's recent 3-3 draw with Rayo Vallecano on Saturday. However, manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed optimism about Mbappé's recovery, stating, "We will assess whether he can play without risk. He will travel to Qatar because we believe he can overcome the injury."

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Mbappé returned to training today and is hopeful of being fit for Wednesday's final.

Mbappé's injury came at an inopportune time, as he had scored in consecutive matches against Girona and Atalanta. In his debut season with Real Madrid, he has tallied 12 goals and provided two assists in 22 appearances.
