Zlatan's Inexperience in Management Hurting AC Milan, Says Tassotti
Former AC Milan star Mauro Tassotti criticizes Zlatan Ibrahimović's lack of managerial experience, suggesting it negatively impacts the team's performance.
Mauro Tassotti, a former AC Milan star, has expressed concerns over the club's current state, attributing some issues to Zlatan Ibrahimović's inexperience in his new managerial role. Tassotti believes that Ibrahimović is learning management through trial and error at Milan, which is affecting the team's performance.
In a recent interview, Tassotti commented on Milan's recent performances, stating, 'We drew with Genoa yesterday. We've been poor in all recent games. Even against Red Star, we were lucky to avoid a draw in the final moments. Fonseca's frustration at the end of the game clearly shows the team's problems.'
He emphasized the importance of securing a top-four finish, saying, 'We are not in a good position in the standings, and I think it's very difficult for this Milan to climb up. Remember, qualifying for the Champions League is essential for a club like Milan. Playing in the Europa League or Conference League would be disastrous for us.'
Regarding Ibrahimović's role, Tassotti remarked, 'Being a player is one thing; being a manager is another. Ibra is learning management with Milan. A manager at a club like Milan needs experience, but Ibra has none. He's learning through trial and error, and it's clear he's making mistakes. If the results were good, it might be less noticeable, but now his mistakes are causing challenges for him.'
