Miguel Salgado, the 19-year-old son of former Real Madrid and Spain national team star Michel Salgado, has officially joined Portuguese club Estoril on a four-year deal.

Unlike his father, who was renowned as a right-back, Miguel plays as a forward and holds dual nationality as Spanish-Emirati. Before joining Estoril, he gained experience playing for Pacos de Ferreira and Gil Vicente in Portugal.

Currently, Miguel will compete with Estoril’s U23 team for the remainder of the season. His goal is to progress quickly and earn a place in the senior squad. Speaking about his move, Miguel said, “I am very happy to be here and hope to help the team as much as I can. My main goal is to play for Estoril's first team and have a great season.”

Michel Salgado, Miguel's father, had a legendary career with Real Madrid from 1999 to 2010, winning four La Liga titles and two UEFA Champions League trophies. He also represented Spain 53 times in international competitions.
