Despite being only 17 years old, Yamal has garnered widespread praise for his impressive performances with Barcelona. On Monday, during the award ceremony, Yamal could not attend in person due to his ankle injury. However, he participated in a video call to express his gratitude.
Among all the congratulatory messages Yamal received, Messi's stood out. The Argentine legend posted a message on social media, not only congratulating Yamal but also praising Vicky Lopez, Barcelona's young women’s football star, who also won a major award.

It’s worth mentioning that Messi recently named Lamine Yamal as his successor. Speaking about the next generation of football stars, Messi said: “There’s a great generation of young players ahead of us. If I had to choose someone, it would be Lamine Yamal. With his age and potential, he has a huge future ahead.”
Yamal, recovering from his injury, is expected to return next month, possibly in time for the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
