Cole Palmer Will Only Leave Chelsea for Real Madrid or Barcelona
William Gallas claims Cole Palmer would only consider leaving Chelsea to join Spanish giants Real Madrid or Barcelona in the future.
Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has stated that Cole Palmer would only leave Chelsea if he receives offers from Real Madrid or Barcelona. Gallas believes the two Spanish giants are the only clubs capable of tempting Palmer away from Stamford Bridge.
Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City during the 2023 summer transfer window, quickly established himself as one of the Premier League's standout players. In his first season with Chelsea, Palmer scored 27 goals and provided 15 assists, showcasing his immense talent.
Speaking to reporters, Gallas praised Palmer's development, saying, “Right now, I think only Real Madrid or Barcelona can tempt Palmer away from Chelsea. He has the quality to excel in Spain and could reach the peak of his career there.”
Gallas emphasized that such a move may not happen in the near future, given Chelsea's reliance on Palmer. “Chelsea fans hope that neither of these clubs make an offer anytime soon because Palmer is critical to the team. But if he ever decides to leave, it will only be for Real Madrid or Barcelona.”
Palmer's rapid rise has been a revelation since his move from Manchester City, where he struggled to get regular playing time. Now a key figure for Chelsea, his potential move to Spain could be a major storyline in future transfer windows.
