Ancelotti: I’m Alive and Haven’t Lost Control at Real Madrid
Carlo Ancelotti insists he remains in control despite Real Madrid's recent challenges and emphasizes Vinicius Jr’s worthiness for the FIFA Best award.
Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, defended his team and leadership during a pre-match press conference ahead of the Intercontinental Cup final against Pachuca. The Italian manager acknowledged the recent criticisms but expressed confidence in his squad’s ability to respond.
Addressing concerns, Ancelotti stated, “I’m alive and have not lost control. While I’m not entirely happy with the current situation, what I see at Real Madrid gives me satisfaction. Difficulties only make this team more resilient.”
Ancelotti also highlighted the opportunity for Real Madrid to win yet another trophy. “Being here is a sign of how hard we have worked. We are determined to win despite the challenges we face.”
On Vinicius Jr, Ancelotti praised the Brazilian’s performances and backed him for the FIFA Best Men’s Player award: “Vinicius truly deserves this recognition. He has delivered exceptional performances throughout the year.”
When asked about Kylian Mbappe’s fitness, Ancelotti revealed: “Mbappe trained well yesterday. We will assess him today, and if there’s any risk, he won’t play. However, we remain optimistic.”
Ancelotti, already one of the most successful coaches in Real Madrid's history, concluded: “Becoming the most decorated coach in Real Madrid history would be extraordinary, and I am proud to be compared to the club’s legendary managers.”
