Real Madrid's Squad Value Drops by €125 Million
Following Transfermarkt's latest update, 14 out of 23 Real Madrid first-team players have experienced a decrease in market value, totaling a loss of €125 million.
Despite Real Madrid's strong performance in La Liga and recent victories in the UEFA Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup, the latest market valuations reveal a significant decline in the squad's overall worth. According to Transfermarkt, 14 of the 23 first-team players have seen their market values decrease, resulting in a cumulative loss of €125 million.
Key players affected include Kylian Mbappé, Aurelien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga, Eder Militão, and Endrick, each experiencing a €20 million drop in value. Others, such as Rodrygo (€10 million decrease), Brahim Díaz (€5 million), Andriy Lunin (€5 million), David Alaba (€5 million), Ferland Mendy (€4 million), Dani Carvajal (€2 million), Antonio Rüdiger (€1 million), Luka Modrić (€1 million), and Lucas Vázquez (€0.5 million), have also seen declines.
The reasons for these reductions vary. Injuries have impacted players like Militão, Alaba, and Carvajal, while age-related factors have affected Rüdiger and Modrić. Additionally, underperformance or limited playing time has contributed to the decreased valuations of Endrick, Mbappé, Tchouaméni, and Rodrygo.
On a positive note, Raúl Asensio is the only player whose market value has increased, now standing at €7.2 million following his promotion to the first team. Meanwhile, players like Jesús Vallejo, Dani Ceballos, Fran García, Thibaut Courtois, Arda Güler, Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, and Vinícius Júnior have maintained their current market values.
Despite this overall decline, Real Madrid continues to boast some of the most valuable players in La Liga, with Vinícius Júnior valued at €200 million and Jude Bellingham at €180 million.
