Supercomputer Predicts Manchester United's Worst Premier League Finish
A recent supercomputer analysis forecasts Manchester United to end the season in 12th place, marking their lowest Premier League finish to date.
Manchester United, currently positioned 14th in the Premier League with 22 points from 18 matches, is projected to conclude the season in 12th place, according to a supercomputer prediction.
This anticipated finish would surpass their previous lowest, an eighth-place result in the 2023-2024 season under Erik ten Hag.
The supercomputer assigns a 13.7% probability to United finishing 12th, with slightly lower probabilities for 13th (13.3%) and 11th (13.1%) positions.
Notably, the analysis indicates a 0.1% chance of relegation, which, while minimal, underscores the team's struggles this season.
In contrast, Liverpool is heavily favored to clinch the Premier League title, with an 88% likelihood, followed by Arsenal (10.3%), Chelsea (1.5%), and Manchester City (0.3%).
Manchester United's recent form includes a Boxing Day defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers, marking their third consecutive loss, further compounding the challenges faced by manager Ruben Amorim in his inaugural season.
