Paulo Fonseca Dismisses AC Milan Dismissal Rumors: 'I Have No Information'
AC Milan's head coach, Paulo Fonseca, addresses recent rumors about his potential dismissal, stating he has not been informed of any such decisions by the club's management.
Following AC Milan's 1-1 draw against AS Roma in Serie A, head coach Paulo Fonseca confronted speculation regarding his future at the club.
Reports had surfaced suggesting that Milan's management was considering replacing him with fellow Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição. However, Fonseca stated in the post-match press conference that he had no knowledge of such discussions.
Fonseca commented on the match, expressing satisfaction with his team's performance: 'In the first half, we created several scoring opportunities, and in the second half, we managed to score. The players had the right attitude. However, after substituting Chukwueze, we encountered some difficulties. Overall, considering the chances we had, I believe we deserved to win.'
Regarding his animated protest over a potential penalty in Milan's favor, which led to his dismissal from the sidelines, Fonseca remarked: 'I may have overreacted at that moment, but I prefer not to elaborate. For me, it's clear, and I don't wish to discuss that incident further.'
When questioned about the rumors of his potential dismissal and an alleged confrontation with senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimović, Fonseca responded: 'I haven't spoken to anyone about this matter. I have no information and cannot comment on something that hasn't occurred. I feel good on Milan's bench.'
Despite the ongoing speculation, Fonseca remains focused on his role, preparing the team for the upcoming Supercoppa Italiana match against Juventus.
