Eberl’s connection to Mönchengladbach runs deep. He joined the club as a player in 1999, making significant contributions on the field until 2005. Transitioning into a management role, he served as the club’s sporting director from 2008 to 2022, overseeing critical developments and successes during his tenure. His leadership played a pivotal role in helping Mönchengladbach re-establish themselves as a consistent force in German football.

Now leading Bayern Munich’s sporting operations, Eberl continues to be one of the most respected figures in Bundesliga management.
