Kalidou Koulibaly, the experienced Senegalese defender, has reiterated his satisfaction with his decision to move from Chelsea to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia. Despite rumors of a possible return to Europe, Koulibaly expressed no regrets, emphasizing the personal and professional fulfillment he has found since joining the Saudi Pro League.

Speaking candidly in an interview, Koulibaly explained, "After Cristiano Ronaldo paved the way, I became one of the first prominent European players to join the Saudi league. What started as a bold step into the unknown has turned into an enriching journey, both on and off the pitch."

Koulibaly also highlighted the cultural and spiritual connection he has developed in Saudi Arabia. "As a Muslim, living in Saudi Arabia has been an ideal choice. The environment aligns with my values, and the warmth and hospitality of the people here have made it an incredible experience. I would gladly make the same decision again if I had the chance," he added.

The former Napoli star also praised the rapid development of football in the region. "Saudi football is improving at an impressive pace. Winning the league in my first season with Al Hilal was particularly meaningful, especially after years of coming close to titles in Europe," Koulibaly noted. He expressed pride in contributing to the sport's growth in a country that is increasingly becoming a global football hub.

Addressing misconceptions about players joining the Saudi Pro League for non-sporting reasons, Koulibaly said, "We are here to work hard and compete. Al Hilal is a club with a winning mentality, and we aim to perform at our best in every competition, including the Club World Cup. This is no vacation for us; we are here to achieve success and bring joy to our fans."
