The club has also been pursuing Luiz Guilherme, a Brazilian prospect currently at West Ham United, who remains their top target. Another contender, Rayan Cherki of Lyon, has shown limited interest in making a move to the Saudi league, adding to the complexity of the negotiations.
Al Hilal's president, Fahd bin Nafel, is reportedly spearheading discussions in Europe, with meetings taking place in Paris. A decision is expected within the next 48 hours, with the club preparing to finalize a deal with one of their shortlisted players at the prestigious Four Seasons George V Hotel in Paris.
Currently, Al Hilal boasts a formidable roster of foreign players, including Yassine Bounou, Kalidou Koulibaly, Rúben Neves, João Cancelo, Sergej Milinković-Savić, Aleksandar Mitrović, and Brazilians Malcom and Renan Lodi. With one remaining foreign player slot, the club aims to add a young winger to complement their experienced lineup.
In a strategic move, head coach Jorge Jesus has excluded Neymar from the domestic league roster, opting to save the Brazilian superstar for key matches in the AFC Champions League.
