Marc Casado Reflects on Initial Fear of Hansi Flick
Barcelona's young talent Marc Casado admitted being initially intimidated by Hansi Flick’s intensity but praised his managerial skills and leadership.
Marc Casado, Barcelona’s young midfielder, recently opened up about his early impressions of Hansi Flick. Speaking during an event to announce his sponsorship deal with Under Armour, Casado reflected on Flick’s intense demeanor, saying, "When I first saw that video of him being furious during Germany's training sessions, I was scared. I didn't know him well back then, and his intensity made me nervous."
Despite the initial fear, Casado praised Flick for his ability to manage the locker room dynamics effectively, adding, "He’s a great coach, and most moments with him have been positive rather than tense."
Casado also discussed Barcelona's recent struggles, emphasizing the team's determination to bounce back in La Liga against Atletico Madrid. He remarked, "We are eager to turn things around. Atletico plays with great intensity and speed, and we need to match them to secure a win."
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder expressed his commitment to the club and his ambition to lead from the midfield in his first full season with the senior team. "I have a leadership spirit, and I hope to contribute to Barcelona for many years to come," he stated.
