Enzo Maresca Ready for January Transfer Decisions
Chelsea's manager Enzo Maresca addresses the January transfer window, stating he is open to resolving player exit requests while focusing on team unity.
Enzo Maresca, manager of Chelsea, has shared his approach to the upcoming January transfer window, particularly regarding players who may request a move. Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash against Everton, Maresca emphasized the need for open communication and thoughtful decision-making.
“Some players, like Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka, haven’t had much game time,” he said. “They might be the first to knock on my door to express their desire to leave. Each case will be handled individually, and we will try to find the best solution for everyone.”
Maresca also commented on the team’s injury status, mentioning the gradual return of Reece James, who has begun partial training sessions. However, he cautioned against expecting James to feature in upcoming matches too soon.
Chelsea has shown strong form recently, reducing the gap to just two points from the Premier League's top spot. Maresca expressed confidence in his squad, highlighting the importance of young players and the team’s adaptability during this crucial phase of the season.
