Nico Paz, a former Real Madrid youth player now shining for Como under Cesc Fabregas, opened up about his dreamlike experience of meeting Lionel Messi during Argentina's national team training.
At just 20 years old, Paz has become a standout midfielder in Serie B, contributing two goals and three assists in 15 matches. His talent earned him a call-up to Argentina's senior team, fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing alongside Messi.
Speaking to DAZN, Paz recounted, "When I was first invited to the U-20 team, I was 17. During my second senior team call-up, I finally got the chance to be in the same locker room as Messi, but I was too shy to say a word. Just seeing him made me incredibly anxious."
He added, "Although I still get nervous around Messi, it’s not as intense as it was on the first day. Playing alongside him was one of the greatest moments of my life."
