Marotta's Bold Claim: Inter Is Italy's Only Two-Star Team

In response to AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale's remarks suggesting that Inter Milan is facing financial difficulties post their Scudetto victory, Inter's CEO Giuseppe Marotta has firmly dismissed these claims. Marotta stated, "I believe Cardinale is confused. While our major shareholders faced economic challenges years ago, we've since resolved these issues, adhering to financial fair play regulations. Inter has reduced losses from 246 million euros to 46 million euros, achieving this alongside winning the Serie A title and the Italian Super Cup." He added humorously, "Let's joke a bit; we are now the only team in Italy with two stars."

Marotta also commented on the competitive nature of the current Serie A season, noting, "At the beginning of the season, I didn't anticipate such a thrilling title race. Our league has become one of the most competitive in Europe. However, it's still early to discuss the championship; the future will reveal all." Regarding head coach Simone Inzaghi's future, Marotta expressed confidence, stating, "Inzaghi has integrated well with our club, maintaining excellent relationships with owners and managers. He has proven himself to be a great coach, and I hope our collaboration continues for a long time."

Looking ahead to 2025, Marotta outlined Inter's ambitions, emphasizing the upcoming Super Cup as the nearest tournament. He stated, "We aim to continue our successes. Participating in numerous competitions, we are committed to consistently performing at our best and securing victories."
