Saudi Arabia to Participate in Two Future Gold Cups as a Guest Team

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has officially announced that the national team will participate as a guest in the CONCACAF Gold Cup tournaments in 2025 and 2027. These prestigious competitions involve teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

The 2025 edition of the Gold Cup will take place next summer, co-hosted by the United States and Canada. Saudi Arabia joins the already qualified teams, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, El Salvador, Haiti, Curacao, and the Dominican Republic. Seven additional teams will qualify through preliminary matches beginning in March, with the group stage draw scheduled for April 10.

Speaking on this development, Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, commented, "Our participation in this prestigious tournament aligns with our strategic goals to elevate Saudi football. Competing against teams from this region, especially in an event held a year before the FIFA World Cup in the United States and Canada, is a valuable opportunity."

Al-Misehal also emphasized strengthening ties with CONCACAF countries to further develop football in Saudi Arabia, underlining the nation's commitment to global collaboration and growth in the sport.
