From Supermarket Shelves to AC Milan: Tijjani Reijnders' Remarkable Journey

Tijjani Reijnders, the Dutch midfielder currently excelling at AC Milan, recently shared insights into his life before football and his experiences adapting to life in Italy.

In an interview with Milan TV, Reijnders revealed: 'Before becoming a professional footballer, I worked in a supermarket alongside two friends. It was a valuable experience that offered me a different perspective on life and earning a living.'

Discussing his integration into Milan, he said: 'I now truly consider Milan my home. When in the Netherlands, I tell my wife it's time to return home, meaning Milan, which surprises her. The warmth and support from the people here have been incredible, strengthening our bond with the city.'

Reijnders also touched on his multicultural background: 'My mother is Indonesian, and my father is Dutch, giving my siblings and me dual heritage. With my wife being Iraqi, our son embodies a rich cultural mix. Growing up with both Indonesian and Dutch influences presented challenges but ultimately made me stronger.'

On financial values, he mentioned: 'When I signed my first professional contract, my parents advised me that while money can simplify life, health, well-being, and helping others are paramount. This perspective keeps me grounded, and I trust my father's guidance in managing my career.'
