Dani Olmo Declares His Long-Term Commitment to Barcelona

Dani Olmo, Barcelona's recent signing, has assured fans of his commitment to the club amidst delays in registering his contract for the second half of the season. The Spanish midfielder, who joined Barcelona in 2024, described this year as unforgettable while firmly stating, "This is just the beginning of my journey here."

In an interview with Barca One, Olmo reflected on the challenges and opportunities at Barcelona, expressing confidence that his contract issues will be resolved soon. "I have no doubts the club will handle it, and I’ll be able to play without any problems in the second half of the season," he added.

Olmo's decision to join Barcelona was influenced by a deep connection to the club and a desire to return home. "When Barcelona made their offer, I didn’t hesitate. Coming back to play alongside my family and friends was a dream come true," he said. Playing at the new Camp Nou and teaming up with stars like Frenkie de Jong, Robert Lewandowski, and Ronald Araujo further motivated his move.

Having trained at Barcelona’s academy during his youth, Olmo also shared his excitement about reuniting with players like Gavi and Fermín López. "It’s special for all of us to reach the first team together," he stated. The midfielder also credited his bold move to Dinamo Zagreb earlier in his career for shaping his development and strengthening his resolve to succeed at Barcelona.
