Liverpool's goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, has expressed that the present team, managed by Arne Slot, is distinct from the squad that secured the Premier League and Champions League titles under Jürgen Klopp. He emphasized the importance of the current group creating its own legacy.
Alisson stated, 'I don't think these two teams are very similar; they are different teams. A few players are still playing, but we now have a slightly different style, focusing more on ball possession. Klopp's team was truly special; we achieved great things, including the first Premier League title after a long period.'
He added, 'What makes me happy is seeing that in this group of players, we have the quality to do something special. The most important thing is the commitment needed to win trophies and the good passion that exists now. We have a thirst for success and want to win every game ahead of us.'
Alisson also praised manager Arne Slot for bringing a fresh spirit to the team, stating, 'When Arne joined the club, everyone thought replacing a manager like Jürgen would be tough. But he is showing his qualities and bringing a lot of good feelings to us.'
He concluded by highlighting the team's dedication: 'I want to point out the commitment of this team and the players to do what the manager wants. The team trains hard every day and strives to achieve big goals.'
