Bukayo Saka's Hospital Message: 'I'll Return Stronger!'

Arsenal's 23-year-old winger, Bukayo Saka, has reached out to fans from his hospital bed following successful surgery for a hamstring injury sustained during the 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Saka was forced to leave the pitch early in the match after experiencing discomfort post-cross.

Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed that Saka underwent surgery and faces a recovery period expected to sideline him for at least two months. Arteta stated, 'It will take more than two months. Exactly how much longer I don't know. It depends on how the tissue heals in the first week or so and its mobility. We'll have to see; it's very hard to say exactly.'

From his hospital bed, Saka shared a photo on Instagram, accompanied by the message: 'Most see obstacles; a few see opportunities. Recovery has started, and I'll come back stronger! Thank you all for your messages.'

This season, Saka has been instrumental for Arsenal, contributing nine goals and 13 assists in 24 appearances. His absence poses a challenge for Arteta, who may consider repositioning players like Gabriel Martinelli or relying on Raheem Sterling, currently on loan from Chelsea and recovering from a knee injury, to fill the void on the right wing.

Arsenal's upcoming fixtures include back-to-back away games against Brentford and Brighton, followed by a Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle. The team currently stands second in the Premier League, six points behind Liverpool.
