Despite these developments, PSG's management remains hopeful of retaining Mendes, whose current contract runs until 2026. They aim to reach a new agreement before the winter transfer window to prevent his departure.
Mendes has been instrumental under coach Luis Enrique, consistently starting on the left flank and contributing significantly to the team's offensive plays. This season, he has participated in 16 matches, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
