Mourinho Eyes Reunion with Son at Fenerbahçe

Fenerbahçe, under José Mourinho's management, is reportedly targeting Tottenham's captain, Son Heung-min, to bolster their attacking lineup in the upcoming transfer window.

Mourinho Eyes Reunion with Son at Fenerbahçe

Fenerbahçe is actively seeking to strengthen their attacking options this winter, with manager José Mourinho expressing a keen interest in reuniting with Son Heung-min, the current captain of Tottenham Hotspur.

According to reports from The Sun, Son's contract with Tottenham is set to expire at the end of the season. Given his underwhelming performance this season, where he has scored only seven goals in 23 appearances, Tottenham's management appears reluctant to extend his contract. This situation has opened the door for Fenerbahçe to pursue the South Korean forward during the January transfer window.

Mourinho, who previously coached Son at Tottenham, has been vocal about his admiration for the player, stating, "He is one of the best forwards in the world right now. Perhaps Tottenham fans might be upset by this, but Son deserves to play for a team that can achieve significant collective success."

Son's recent form has come under scrutiny, especially after missing a penalty in Tottenham's 2-2 draw against Wolverhampton. A move to Fenerbahçe could provide a fresh start and an opportunity to work again under Mourinho's guidance.
