Hakimi Refutes Allegations, Labels Them as Extortion Attempt
Achraf Hakimi, PSG star and Moroccan international, breaks his silence on assault allegations, vehemently denying them and describing the situation as an extortion attempt.
Achraf Hakimi, the celebrated defender of Paris Saint-Germain and the Moroccan national team, has spoken for the first time about the assault allegations made against him in March 2023. In a candid interview, Hakimi not only denied the claims but also characterized them as an extortion attempt.
During his appearance on Anas Bukhash’s YouTube channel, Hakimi addressed the gravity of the accusations, stating, "This is the first time I am speaking about this publicly. The case is being handled by the courts, and I have full confidence in the legal process to reveal the truth."
He described the emotional toll the allegations had on his life, explaining, "These past two years have been incredibly challenging. When you achieve success, you also attract attention—some of it unwanted. This experience taught me to be cautious about who I trust."
Hakimi went on to detail the circumstances of the case, asserting that the accusations were part of a calculated plan to blackmail him. "From the start, it was evident this was an extortion attempt. The courts recognized this, and my legal team has ensured the truth will come to light," he stated. "The truth always prevails, and I am confident that justice will be served."
Reflecting on lessons learned, Hakimi remarked, "This situation has taught me valuable life lessons. I’ve learned to protect my personal circle and trust only those who have consistently supported me." He concluded with a sense of optimism, saying, "Once the courts have resolved this matter, I’ll be able to move forward and focus on what I love most—football."
