Barcelona Confirms Stay in Catalonia Amid Stadium Challenges

Barcelona has confirmed its commitment to staying in Catalonia, despite ongoing challenges with the reconstruction of Spotify Camp Nou. The club has ruled out considering venues outside Barcelona or the region for hosting Champions League or domestic matches.

The delay in the Camp Nou project has raised concerns about meeting UEFA's requirements for hosting matches in the knockout stages. According to UEFA regulations, clubs must finalize their stadium plans by March 4, when the Round of 16 begins. Barcelona’s agreement with the City of Barcelona to use Montjuïc stadium expires on March 31, leaving the club with a tight timeline.

Barcelona’s management is confident in reaching a solution, whether by returning to Camp Nou or extending the Montjuïc lease. A confirmed concert at Montjuïc in June poses no immediate conflict, as it falls after the season ends.

Club sources emphasize their unwavering commitment to Catalonia and assure fans that all efforts are focused on resolving the stadium issue without disruption to their season.
