Boudewijn Zenden Advises Vinícius Junior to Adjust On-Field Behavior to Win Ballon d'Or

Boudewijn Zenden, who played for Barcelona between 1998 and 2001, has commented on Vinicius Junior's recent accolade as The Best FIFA Men's Player for 2024. Despite this achievement, Zenden believes that Vinicius's on-field conduct may hinder his prospects of winning the Ballon d'Or. He stated, 'Vinicius is undoubtedly a player with exceptional qualities, but certain behaviors during matches, like feigning injuries or attempting to win unmerited penalties, do not aid his cause.' Zenden also noted that Vinicius spends considerable time engaging with referees and opponents, suggesting that reducing these actions could make him a better player and bolster his chances of clinching the Ballon d'Or in the coming years.
