Valencia Fans Urged to Boycott Real Madrid Match

Valencia shareholders call for fans to boycott the upcoming home game against Real Madrid, protesting the club's management under majority owner Peter Lim.

Valencia Fans Urged to Boycott Real Madrid Match

A group of Valencia CF shareholders, known as the 'Valencia Freedom Association,' has issued a statement urging fans to boycott the home match against Real Madrid on January 3. They believe the club's situation has reached a critical point under majority owner Peter Lim, accusing him and his associates of leading Valencia towards 'sporting, economic, and social bankruptcy.'

The statement reads: 'As an association committed to our team's future, we cannot turn a blind eye. It is our historical duty to raise our voices and take action. Therefore, we call for a complete emptying of the Mestalla Stadium on January 3, during the game against Real Madrid. We will not be complicit in the destruction of our club.'

This marks the third time the association has proposed such a protest. Previous boycotts included a successful demonstration at the end of the 2021-2022 season against Celta Vigo and a less effective attempt last season against Girona, where the club implemented measures to boost attendance.
