Real Madrid Expresses Frustration with La Liga Scheduling

Real Madrid has openly criticized the scheduling practices of La Liga, citing frustration over the late timing of their matches. The team has only had one away match scheduled before 9 PM local time, leading to player fatigue and dissatisfaction.

Players often return home as late as 3 AM after matches, affecting their ability to rest and train effectively. Coach Carlos Ancelotti has had to reduce training intensity following late matches to accommodate player recovery.

Despite these challenges, upcoming fixtures, including those in early 2025, continue to be scheduled late at night. Only Copa del Rey games offer some relief, with matches starting at 7 PM.

The issue of late-night professional sports scheduling isn't unique to football. Similar complaints have been raised in tennis by players like Alexander Zverev, who emphasized the toll of post-match recovery processes.

Real Madrid's public stance highlights the ongoing debate about balancing broadcast demands with player well-being in modern sports.
