Following Saud Abdulhamid's successful stint with AS Roma, four more Saudi Arabian footballers are poised to make moves to European leagues during the winter transfer window.

Four Saudi Players Set to Join European Clubs This Winter

According to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, four Saudi Arabian footballers are on the verge of transferring to European leagues this winter. This development comes after Saud Abdulhamid's impressive performance with AS Roma in Serie A during the first half of the season.

The players expected to make the move include Firas Al-Buraikan, a striker for Al-Ahli and the Saudi national team, along with Abdulmalik Al-Iry, Abdulkarim Al-Darsi, and Awad Aman. These players hail from both the Saudi Pro League and the First Division.

Earlier this season, Saud Abdulhamid, Faisal Al-Ghamdi, and Marwan Al-Sahafi made moves to European clubs, joining AS Roma and Beerschot in Belgium, respectively. Their transitions have reopened pathways for Saudi players into European football after several years.

Notably, Saud Abdulhamid became the first Saudi player to score in a European competition, netting a goal for AS Roma in the UEFA Europa League.

Al-Sharq Al-Awsat also reports that if these transfers do not materialize in January, they are expected to occur during the summer transfer window.
