Ortega Criticizes Haaland: Disappointed Everyone!
Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega expressed frustration after Erling Haaland's missed penalty led to a 1-1 draw against Everton, emphasizing the team's determination to bounce back.
Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega has voiced his disappointment following Erling Haaland's missed penalty in their recent 1-1 draw against Everton. Speaking to the club's official website, Ortega remarked, "When you watch the game, you realize we played well and created many opportunities. Our performance was much better compared to previous weeks. I believe we fought with all our might from start to finish."
He continued, "Had we scored the second goal before conceding the equalizer, our confidence would have soared. However, we conceded, and although we continued to play well and created numerous chances, today's result was a draw. Perhaps last season, the goal they scored would have hit the post, but today it went in, and we must accept that this is football."
Ortega also noted the impact of Haaland's missed penalty on team morale: "I think all the players were disappointed after Haaland missed the penalty. But the atmosphere in the stadium was good today. The fans are well aware of the situation and have the right to be unhappy, but we players are equally dissatisfied. We performed well and now have the opportunity to aim for victory against Leicester. However, I'm not too worried about us giving up."
