Carragher Criticizes Rashford's Club Loyalty
Jamie Carragher slammed Marcus Rashford for his recent comments about leaving Manchester United, calling his actions disrespectful to the club.
Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool star, expressed sharp criticism towards Marcus Rashford for his remarks about potentially leaving Manchester United. The forward had suggested he is open to a new challenge after being excluded from United's squad for their clash against Manchester City.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Carragher stated, “It feels like we’ve been talking about Rashford all week. He’s not at the level of players like Wayne Rooney, David Beckham, or Cristiano Ronaldo, yet he’s been discussed far too much.”
He added, “I don’t support players who criticize their clubs publicly. Rashford’s sudden announcement of wanting to leave, without the club’s approval, puts United in a weak negotiating position.”
Carragher advised Rashford to focus on improving his performance instead of voicing such opinions. “If he genuinely wants to succeed at United, he should stay quiet, work hard, and seize opportunities when they arise,” he concluded.
